The First Responder Reset Project

Every day, first responders answer calls that most of us could never imagine. They witness tragedy, carry stress home to their families, and often spend years putting others before themselves. The First Responder Reset Project exists to give back to those who give so much. Through sponsored guided fishing experiences, we provide firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and other public safety professionals with an opportunity to step away from the demands of the job, spend time outdoors, connect with peers, and recharge. Your sponsorship helps create meaningful moments of rest, reflection, and renewal for the men and women who serve our communities every day. Together, we can help those who protect and care for others find time to reset, reconnect, and return stronger.

One trip. Two first responders. A lasting impact.

Testimonies

“Tyler Yearwood of Thin Line Fly Company is as awesome guide and person. I have fished lakes and rivers with him and he is very knowledgeable and puts his clients first. He is my first choice of any guide and I would highly recommend him.”

-Russell

Tyler absolutely crushed it, this was an outstanding experience and he is an awesome guide. I’m an absolute beginner fly fisherman and Tyler had me casting like a pro in no time and he put us on so many fish I lost count of how many we caught. 10/10 recommend for anyone looking to do any fishing in his area, you won’t be disappointed .

-William

“Thin Line is a fantastic guide service. He knows the water and will put you on some fish. You won’t find a better fisherman!”

-Michael

“I had an absolute blast on my first ever trout and fly fishing trip!
As a complete beginner, Tyler was an incredible guide. He walked me through
different fly fishing techniques, including how to read the water and find the best
spots where the fish like to hold. He introduced me to various flies like dry flies
and nymphs, and taught me how to present them naturally to get strikes. Tyler knew
exactly where to find the fish and put us on them all day. If you're a beginner
looking to learn the ropes or just want a great day on the water, I can't recommend
this guide service enough. Already planning my next trip!”

-Phillip

Why Fly Fishing

A man holding a fish in a river, wearing outdoor fishing gear, a wide-brimmed hat, with a forest and a bridge in the background.

Growth With A fly Rod

How Fly Fishing Helps

It asks for attention.
It asks for patience.
It asks you to slow down enough to notice what’s actually happening in front of you.

Unlike many outdoor activities, fly fishing is deliberate by nature. You’re not reacting constantly. You’re reading water, watching the wind, feeling the line, and making small adjustments. That process pulls your focus into the present moment—quietly and naturally.

Focus Without Pressure

Fly fishing rewards calm decision-making. Casting, mending, and presentation all work better when movements are measured and intentional. You can’t rush it. You can’t muscle it. And there’s no advantage to forcing the outcome.

For many people, that shift—from constant reaction to purposeful action—is where the benefit starts.

Individualized Outings

Creating a plan that works for you

Not every outing needs to be loud, rushed, or over-programmed. Some of the best days happen when things are simple, intentional, and well-run.

Thin Line Fly Co. offers custom fly fishing outings for individuals and small groups looking for a unique outdoor experience on North Georgia waters. These outings are designed around good water, clear structure, and skill-based instruction, creating a day that feels purposeful without being rigid.

Whether you’re planning something for yourself, a few friends, or a work group, we help you build a day that fits.
